I am a Grrrl...
While attempting to edit the NEW CougarClub33 Website (https://foxbohx.wixsite.com/cougarclub33), which is still under contruction, I got talking to an interesting Lady in Macdonald's Bay Street, a complete stranger who I met by accident only today.
We were more or less motivating each other to follow our dreams. Her energy was quite unique, certainly not your everyday girl. When she spoke, her eye's widened and lit up the rest of her face, they spoke with desire, the type of desire that comes form the soul. She comes from an educated family and is completing university studies in business in the UK she said. Then all of a sudden I find out she's Muslim, not that it makes a difference - I mean I'm Catholic and nothing is going to change that. But it was a surprise in a sence becuase she didn't wear a head scarf and was non traditional in per presentation. This is quite common in Australia but not here. In Australia, I have witnessed muslim families who live like anyone else, the girls don't wear head scarves, the men only have one wife (and help out around the house), everyone goes to work and they integrate beautifully into the Australian way of life; they are muslims BY CHOICE, practice their daily rituals and don't marry outside their religion and I certainly would not marry into theirs. THERE IS MUTUAL RESPECT. As we continued our conversation about 'Women's Rights in both Libya and Malta', we established mutual respect for our differences but not a friendship as such. We had a laugh how I'd never visit her country becuase I DON'T LIKE THE MEN (and she said neither does she - LOL). A friend to me, is someone that I've known for over 12 months and I know is completely reliable. I don't have them in Malta. What I wanted to post here is that this 21 year old woman, just by looking in her eye's has the potential to affect people by numbers in a poitive way; and one day I believe she's going to do it for her people and many others, for a humanitarian cause. One could see that she has experienced a lot, the kind of experience that you don't get out of books, and she has great potential; and before we went our own seperate ways, I told her to always ask herself 'Why is she so special'... and I belive one day, she'll be able to anser that question in front of a very large crowd, who are possibly voting for her??? http://foxbohx.wix.com/cougarclub33
