At what point did you guys become so damn selfish, rude, arrogant and down right abusive? I've had a number of complaints from women discretely responding to my article published online regarding, 'enslavement of women in Malta'

(http://chatterbohxpress.wix.com/voicebohx/blog); which I've had to save copies into drop box to make more more room; also for privacy purposes.The identity of the women who have divulged such information will remain private, as it is their wish.

If these women are asking for their privacy to secure their jobs because they might fear a government that initially promised them a safer community by eradicating all forms of corruption but didn't deliver it, then in all due to respect I have to take measures to ensure their privacy to allow them a voice irrespectively. It is their right to freedom of speech and movement and even the justice minister supports that - so he should.

However, in having mentioned the justice minister, I'm not referring to the latest article published in the Malta Times about his legal affairs where his stance on freedom of speech and movement are effectively put into question; as that is a different set of circumstances all together. Ministers are undoubtedly subject to ethical standards because of power of position and how it affects the wider community when they abuse that, so in my opinion they should watch what they post publicly (online)... but that argument is for another day.

In continuing to address the complaints received so far (which forms part of my online anti-family violence campaign), please take note of the following information:

It seems to me that men have their rights respected without a fight but not the women, who have expressed their struggles in achieving an equal stance not just in the family but in the wider community.

This system under the new government, is supposed to be supporting it's citizens to enjoy their lives and live it to the fullest, 'come with us' he said during the election, 'don't be scared'

...and to think that there are people in this country who have attempted to convince me that Gender Inequality does not exist in Malta, is a joke in itself. What's surprising is that these are supposed to be highly educated members of the community. WTF Seriously, is this really happening in 2016?

What a f**king mess you people are living with - it's no wonder your houses are spotless, it's the only way you can justify the mess that is unseen to the naked eye...

The level of bullying that is bestowed upon these women who have so far complained that they are being enslaved in their own homes, IS A CRIME in this day and age and a breach of human rights.

Sadly, many have said that if they dare open their mouths and express their support, they will be ostracised and treated less fovourably by the people they love the most - family members that they depend on; and can't survive without their husband's income so they sell their female dignity instead.

Furthermore, emotional blackmail is a complaint that has come in by numbers and also a form of family violence;;; my husband and his family tried all this bullshit on me but it didn't work. I decided I wanted my human rights respected and as a result of a system that has failed me on all four corners, I'm now in a situation where I have nothing left to lose - and thank God for that in a strange kind of way.

These complaints initially come in by numbers. I was politely informed by many that first the mother in law jumps in and starts tearing shreds off her (the wife) insisting that the wife carries forward the same work for her husband as the mother did for her son (who is now the husband); then the husband starts throwing his tantrum using intimidation tactics forcing her into submission (who then disgracefully coerces the oldest son in many cases, to also discourage the mother - which is child abuse and irresponsible parenting); and that's not all, then there are friends of the husband who have their two cents worth trying to make her feel ashamed of herself and what's worse, the other women who are supposed to be supporting their own race start bringing her down too using torts and gossip until she submits and makes her life miserable as much as the others; only then she will be accepted back in.

THERE IS NO Excuse GOOD ENOUGH FOR ABUSE!
