THE MIN WAGE ISSUE...

'...a rise in the mininum wage will not address absolute poverty, they say'.

Personally I am fed up with the bullshit.

One excuse after another to keep the working class silently working away - no protests - and how convenient to claim that the rise in minimum wage will not address absolute poverty. No dikeddz, it will not address absolute poverty, I don't think anything will, but what it will do is ADDRESS THE TAXPAYER WHO ARE PAYING FOR EVERYONE ELSE.

Is the Labour party getting every word of this or am I talking too fast for them! What part of 'pay for work do they not understand?'

I mean is it really that hard to acknowledge to taxpayer? ...and from a political party that hails itself 'the peoples government', you wouldn't expect anything less.

So you've got battered house wife's who have responded via email saying that they can't leave their husband's because the min. wage does not cover for them to live independently of the abuse of the breadwinner.

Then you've got people, the working class, who have been busting their ass for crumbs paying their taxes for years and still can't afford to own their own homes; but foreigners come from overseas with money and enjoy a healthy investment portfolio in real estate.

And of course there's the magic word, 'crimes of corruption'; people taking bribes under the table engaging in corruption to afford more and some have said to me after they've apologized, they know it's wrong but they've done it because their pay is simply not enough and further added that if you want to get by in Malta, that's what you have to do.

So where does that leave someone like me, who has a very strong sense for justice and is a law abiding citizen?

It makes perfect sense then, that I am living like this!

Can someone tell me when the next election will be held, I'd like to put my vote in.
